A Welcome from the Director
Thank you for your interest in OHIS, the American International School in Mae Sai. We are a learning community in which students are challenged by the academic program, welcomed by their new peers, and engaged in activities that promotes their well-being. Ideally situated on a beautiful campus in Mae Sai, the school provides the benefits of a safe environment within easy reach of the peaceful city of Chiang Rai, the dynamic city of Chiang Mai and with easy access by flight to the most beautiful beaches of Thailand.
When you entrust us with the education and care of your child, we take that responsibility seriously. We place a high importance on developing enduring relationships throughout our community, which results in a caring and supportive environment for both children and their families. I am confident in the ability of the One Hope faculty and staff to balance the challenges of a rigorous curriculum with the personal care provided by our support programs.
Students arriving on our campus will find a network of support provided by their teachers and staff that will help them settle in quickly and feel “at home” within our campus community. They will soon develop friendships as they live, learn, and socialize with other students. If you are moving to Mae Sai, your children will be personally supported to ease your transition and help you navigate the difficulties inherent in any relocation. The more quickly you and your children get settled, the sooner you can enjoy all that our school has to offer.
One Hope International School inspires a passion for learning throughout our day programs. Your children will be encouraged to take ownership of their learning and to contribute to their community. At One Hope, they will gain independence, responsibility, respect, and a sense of creativity through the development of relationships that will transcend their time at our school. A Welcome from the Founders
Thank you for your interest in One Hope International School.
Committed to Asian countries for almost 20 years, Armenio and Juliana manaia are a visionary couple who believe in the power of education to transform society and in the value of family to raise this generation.
They have given their lives to serve Asian countries through their love, knowledge, and life experience. They are both well known as the CEOs of the esteemed nonprofit organization Adore Ltd., where they employ more than 120 workers and volunteers.
Armenio and Juliana have already founded two secondary schools in the countries of India and Cambodia, where they serve 2,500 students. They have two beautiful children, Ashylen and Noah.
